Healthy, Wealthy & Wise

Week One
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” – Lao Tzu

Healthy

Drink geen tea. Every day I walk into my office, I see a dozen sleep-deprived coworkers desperately clutching at their Starbucks cups. While coffee is certainly healthy for you, an extra large latte with whipped cream, two shots of caramel and four sugars is definitely not! And so, I find myself constantly advocating the switch to green tea. Now, I urge you to do the same. Not only is properly prepared green tea delicious, but the health benefits alone are astounding – including reductions in cholesterol levels and improved heart health. Its chief benefit? There is no better drink to ease you into the morning, as you get ready for the day of work ahead.

“If you want to be healthy, start drinking green tea.”

Wealthy

Stop buying Starbucks every damn day. The average American spends roughly $14.40 every week on coffee. This translates to $750 a year. Over 150 million Americans spend more on coffee each year than the amount they have in savings. While caffeine may be a proven physiological stimulant, I can assure you this: it will be a depressant to your bank account.

“If you want to be wealthy, stop buying overpriced coffee.”

Wise

Say thank you. A few simple words of gratitude may cost you nothing, but can mean the world to someone else. Expressing your gratitude not only benefits others, but serves as an important reminder to stay present and enjoy all we have. You may be surprised to find that a heartfelt thank you can initiate the kind of meaningful connection that is sorely lacking in our nearly virtual society.

“If you want to be wise, start saying thank you. There’s a lot to be thankful for.”

To our readers,

We are grateful for your time and can’t wait to embark on this journey with you.

Humbly yours,

Leo and Yasna
